En af de mest velanskrevne britiske vinskribenter, skotske Tom Cannavan, anmeldte sidst i oktober 2008 "Selecció" således: "Clos Berenguer is a small family estate in Priorat, and this is their top wine, only about 100 cases of which are produced, It is a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, which obviously sees lots of new, high-toast oak. This is a wine that rather tears me apart: on one hand the seductively deep, chocolaty and spice aromas are sumptuous, yet the deep, sweet, berry fruit is rather submerged by them. On the palate there is copious sweetness, which comes from super-ripe and concentrated fruit, the sweet, charry oak, and a low-ish acidity. That makes this dark and liquoricy, with chocolate and all sorts of stewed prune and deep, plummy fruits backed up by masses of cinnamon and clove spice..." 90/100 Points "Blommer og den typisk koncentrede fedme i denne Priorat vin" 92/100 Points
