En af de mest velanskrevne britiske vinskribenter, skotske Tom Cannavan, anmeldte sidst i oktober 2008 "Vi de Guarda" således: "This cuvée is a blend of 35% Carignan, 55% Grenache and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Barrel fermented and aged 12 months in French oak, it has a really attractive aromatic profile, with a deep-set prune and fig character, a certain cherry juiciness and lots of sweet earth and dried blood complexity. There's plenty of charry French oak here, but it is very nicely integrated. On the palate the sweet ripeness of the fruit powers through. There's a lovely blackcurrant jam bittersweet quality, and the warm, smoky, tobacco-infused spices of the finish meld beautifully. Very refined this wine, with pert acidity cutting through a creamy texture, and the tannins quite peppery and ripe." 93/100 POINTS Vinen laves på udvalgte druer fra bodegaens ældste vinstokke. Den alkoholiske gæring foregår i ståltanke og efterfølges af en malolaktisk gæring i nye og 3 år gamle franske egefade, hvor de får lov at blive i ca 12 måneder. Der produceres ca. 10.000 flasker på årsbasis. 14,5% alkohol
